NHL Top-50 Prospects – Final Edition

After months of counting down the best prospects, the National Hockey League Entry-Level Draft is set to get underway on Friday from the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to pick with the first overall pick in the Draft after winning the NHL Draft Lottery back in late April. With the first overall pick, the Leafs are expected to select Auston Matthews from Zurich in the National-A League in Switzerland.

After Matthews, two Finns in Patrik Laine and Jesse Puljujärvi are expected to go second and third overall to either the Winnipeg Jets or the Columbus Blue Jackets.

After the top-three, the group of prospects consist of many prospects with rich blood lines in the NHL. Some of these players include Matthew Tkachuk, Logan Brown, Alexander Nylander, and Jakob Chychrun. The other prospects available will look to make their mark at the NHL level.
